Joseph in the bible

Joseph in the bible was a husband of Mary as the mother of our Lord Jesus Christ and if we trace the generations of Mary, she was a descendant of King David.  The father of this man was Jacob that stated on the chapter 1:16 on the book of Matthew on the New Testament.

When Joseph had knowledge that Mary was pregnant; he decided to separate from Mary by stealth manner; while he though these things according to the verse 20 on the first chapter, the Angel of the Lord spoke with him regarding with Mary that her pregnancy was caused by Holy Spirit.

In this incident happened about the conversation with the Angle of the Lord; might the mind of Joseph cleared about the dilemma regarding with Mary and changed his mind to stay with Mary. The Angle of the Lord gave name with Joseph whether what the name of the child and that name was Jesus on verse 21.

After the Christ was born; the Angle of the Lord appeared in the dream of Joseph again that said "Arise, take the child and the mother" and they must go in the land of Egypt due to Herod will seek the child and destroy him on the chapter 2:13.

In this incident, God as the protector of the child as used Joseph as a husband of Mary, followed the order of God that they should go to Egypt and the instrument was His righteous’ Angel to speak with just Joseph through dream.

When they were in the land of Egypt; again, same Angel of the Lord appeared on the dream of Joseph that said that he should take the child and the mother in the land of Israel due to the person that after the life of the child was dead on the 2:20.

Instead to go back where they come from; when he was received the information about to the next King that reign after his father; he was afraid and instead to go back where they come from, he brought his wife and the child in the land of Galilee on the verse 22.

Even this man has commandment from God to go back where he come from; he disobeyed it and that disobedience was not counted as sin in the sight of God; might God Father understand his side why he disobeyed him. He saw the heart and mind of Joseph and He sent not again His angel to talk with Joseph by dream, does it mean that the commandment of God that time is not so important; unlike to the one prophet of God that disobeyed Him instead to go in the place of Nineveh; he went to the other place.

Due to the commandment is so important; God use other devices for the prophet to direct to the right place and He used the fish to deliver that Prophet in the right place; that was a mandatory commandment and might in the side of Joseph was just an optional and that was the reason why God sent not again His angel to change the direction.

The verses and chapters are the important accomplishments of Joseph and this article is just a summary of the life of Joseph whether what he done for our Lord and to his wife Mary.
