The black horse in the bible (Revelation 6:5) was not a literal black horse as things/ matters. That black horse has spiritual meaning and we have no exact idea whether what was the black horse in the revelation implies for.

The being that sat on that horse might have spiritual meaning as well due to the bible especially the revelation speaks spiritual side. The person sat had pair of balances; what was that pair of balances? If we proceed to the verse six, there was one that shouted on one of the four creatures that implies to the equality of the products (Revelation 6:6) from the penny. In short, one – on – one: one penny for a wheat. This might signify to the measurement and this measurement might imply to the spiritual side.

When we continue the reading on the 6:6 there was continuation that said "don’t hurt the oil and the wine." There were possible that the wheat, a penny, oil and wine had spiritual meanings. Might the spiritual meaning of oil was the word of God and the wine was the blood of Christ.

The wheat in the bible symbolized as a brother of the Lord Jesus Christ which mentioned on the book of Mathew 13:25 and a penny were symbolized to the salvation to the man who works to the farm of God as rate to their works. (Matthew 20:2 – 16)    

Those are the possible interpretation of the penny, wheat, oil and the wine if we base to the spiritual side. The problem now whether who was the person who sat with the black horse and the paired of balances might symbolized to the equality but we cannot ascertained for it even the penny, oil and wine. We just talk the possibilities interpretation about those mentioned terms.

That black horse was seeing by Apostle John through the revelation after the one seal was opened by the Christ as Lamb of God that time. The interpretation about the penny, oil, wine, paired of balances and wheat might true but the interpretation whether who was the person that sat on that horse might impossible and especially the interpretation about the black horse.

When and where the black horse shall exist? We have no idea whether when and where. The information about the black horse was revealed on the Revelation and the revelation was only book that has information about the black horse. There was no other book that has information about the horse on the revelation even to the red horse, white horse and the pale horse.

Those four horses never mentioned on the book of Genesis, Exodus, Numbers, and Leviticus as part of the Old Testament; to the New Testament and Christ never mentioned about these four horses especially the black horse on the above.
