Serious Physical Injury

The serious physical injury is a term used especially in criminal law that defined the criminal liability with corresponding punishment to the allegedly criminal.

Serious physical injury will pronounce if the wound(s) was healed more than 30 days but it’s differing to the criminal law of every country. If the wound was healed about or below 30 days, might just less serious and below less serious is the light physical injury.

There are many causes of serious physical injury. Do not limit yourself to the intentional implication of wound but may applies also to the accident especially accident on the road and the accident on the road was caused road traffic and affects the flow of the vehicles.

There was also conflict sometimes especially if in terms of administering of poison to the other people through intentional. Might the law of your country defined this type of administration as murder as crimes against person or just serious physical injury.

Common to the accident of the road might result into multiple homicides with multiple serious physical injuries. Not all accidents are accidents, there were possibilities those accidents are not accidents but intentional especially if the car hit the one man on the road and the driver alibis that "did not notice if there was man in that area." "The brake was malfunctioned and so on." 

That was called modus operandi to hide the real intention, if this type of tactic was proven, the offense might murder due to intentional and with the used of motor vehicle and might fall also into aggravating circumstances.

To prove that this type of incident was intentional, should have witnesses, recording material especially the camera and other devices and evidences those proves that these types of acts was done through intentional and were from the evil intention.

Slight Physical Injury

The slight physical injury or the less serious physical injury was called if the injury was healed less than in period compare to the serious physical injury on the above mentioned. Let us say more than 10 days for example and not more than 30 days might consider slight or less serious physical injury. The injury in this case was received by person who was the victim of the case and not from the self inflected wound.

There are wounds those might healed within the period which would define as less serious and the less serious wound or the slight injury has its own penalty for the person who inflected the wound to the other people / person.

Light physical injury

The light physical injury might the injury which is superficial if wound and other injury of the body of the victim that would heal within the period but not more than 10 days for example. This might the contusion and other injury those may heal within 10 days.

The penalty of course of light physical injury is less compare to the serious and slight physical injury.

However; all countries have its own definition regarding the serious, slight or less serious and the light physical injury and the number of days might differ each other also and the above mentioned days of heal that define to absorb whether slight, light  and serious might differ in every countries and the number of days above are only an example.
